The homepage is a built-in feature that provides quick access to recently visited pages, learning resources, and templates. It can be customized to display only the sections that are most relevant to you. Follow these steps to customize your Notion homepage and set it as your default start page.
To begin, log into your Notion account. For this example, we are using a blank Notion page titled "New page".

To access the Notion homepage, open the sidebar and click on Home. This will bring up your personalized homepage with all the default sections and widgets.

By default, the homepage displays:

You can modify this layout to fit your workflow and remove sections that you don’t need.
To personalize the homepage, click on the menu button in the top-right corner.

Then select Show/hide widgets.

This allows you to:

Changes take effect immediately, helping you create a homepage that suits your daily needs.
Notion automatically opens to the last visited page by default. However, you can change this setting to open directly to the homepage or another preferred page.
To set the homepage as the default start page:
Click on the menu button in the top-right corner of the homepage.

Select Change default start page.

Then choose Home.

Alternatively, you can change the default start page to the top page in the sidebar. This will display the highest page in the sidebar whenever you start Notion.

Here you can see that the Example Page will open whenever Notion is launched, when the Top page in sidebar option is selected:
